11 Top Online Workout Apps
The fitness industry has exploded over the last few years, and alongside the boom in popularity has come a whole heap of online workout apps. Long gone are the days where you need to fork out for an expensive gym membership, or spend hours slaving away over a cardio-based workout for results. These apps are extremely economical, they give you the ability to workout anytime, anyplace, and also provide you with a whole range of different workout styles – cardio, HIIT, weights, yoga – whatever is best for you! Ahead I’ve listed some of my favourite apps that require minimal equipment, are cost effective and give you great results.
Keep It Cleaner
KIC is the #1 app I have been using lately and I can hands down say that it is awesome and has kept me motivated throughout Covid-19. It’s a holistic platform that includes fitness, meal and mindfulness guides – everything you need to lead a cleaner lifestyle.
ISO FIT
Recently launched by my good friend Ramsey, ISO FIT is a virtual gym and community designed to help you smash your fitness goals. Rams is one of my favourite fitness content creators (his 1,000 rep challenge left me sore for a whole week) so I am incredibly excited that this expertise is now available for everyone to benefit from.
28 by Sam Wood
Sam Wood’s whole premise revolves around the idea that all you need is 28 minutes a day to workout. I love that. He shows you how you can fit your workouts in around family life and often features his gorgeous little girls in the workouts.
Shreddy by Grace Beverley
One of my long-term girl crushes, Grace Beverley, has released an epic fitness app called Shreddy. Shreddy has hundreds of workouts, recipes, meal plans, real-time classes and a motivated community all programmed in one place for you to reach your goals.
Strava
If you’re not looking for personalised programs, Strava is a great place to keep track of all your workouts. You can either sync it to your sports watch or record activity on the app. Strava is probably the most popular workout app of all time – it has a pumping community and allows you to join multiple challenges each month to keep you motivated.
Couch to 5k
For those of you who are really struggling to get started on your fitness journey, Couch to 5K is a running program that does just that – gets you running 5kms continuously. It has been designed in a way that means anyone can achieve it, even if you’ve never run a step in your life!
FitOn
FitOn is perfect for those of you who find yourself falling on and off the fitness bandwagon. It’s completely free, meaning no lock-in contracts, and has a huge range of workouts that can be filtered by length, type and intensity.
Centr by Chris Hemsworth
Centr has a free trial that allows you to get familiar with the platform before committing. They have a whole range of styles – HIIT, boxing, yoga, MMA, weights, and you can set your desired workout intensity, from beginner to advanced level. It’s another all-in-one platform that has everything you need (plus the added bonus of being Chris Hemsworth’s app)!
The Sculpt Guide
The Sculpt Guide is Zanna Van Dijk’s 12 week program that gives you all the tools you need to take control of your fitness, look after your body and strengthen your mind. It includes 12 weeks’ worth of workouts with pictures, descriptions and instructional videos so you feel empowered to know exactly what you are doing.
