A question I get asked a lot is, Why did I go Vegan?

Becoming vegan was honestly the best decision I ever made. It has given me so much more compassion for animals, for the people who work with animals and has made me really conscious about what I consume on a day to day basis and the small changes we can all make to impact our health and the environment.

Once I started to learn and educate myself about the impact consuming animal products had on my health, the environment and the ways that animals are treated, I couldn’t do anything but change my diet and lifestyle to a whole food plant-based routine, which basically means vegan. I have since then not only changed my diet, but changed small elements of my lifestyle to help make an impact on the environment and the world as a whole. I try to limit the amount of plastic being used, the amount of waste and have tried to find ways that I can make everything more environmentally friendly.

3 Reasons Why I Went Vegan:

My Health:

Since changing to a vegan lifestyle I feel 100% healthier. I can’t even begin to describe how positively amazing I feel, I have more energy, I feel stronger and my skin is looking better than ever. I have dealt with gut issues for quite a long time, and I have seen many health practitioners and specialists who have all said that because of changing to a whole plant based diet, I have been able to keep my condition under control, and that if I wasn’t eating a plant based diet, I probably would not be feeling this much better.

The Animals:

We all know how much I LOVE animals. There is no easier way to help animals and prevent suffering to animals than being on a plant based diet and trying to be a bit more environmentally friendly. Did you know that research says that every vegan saves more than 100 animals per year? Every time we make the switch from an animal product to a vegan one we are standing up for farmed animals everywhere.

The Environment:

So i’m definitely big on doing as much as I can for the environment, even if its just those small changes that we make day to day that can make a huge impact. I won’t go into too much information, but a vegan lifestyle is the best way to reduce your carbon footprint, save water, the oceans and reduce environmental destruction
