Villa Windu Asri. - Bali

I recently flew to Bali for three days to play a show for Schoolies at Sky Garden. I went over with my sister and her boyfriend to celebrate her recent debut for the Australian hockey team, The Hockeyroos!

To say we stayed at the most amazing villa is an understatement. I have been to Bali a LOT, and Villa Windu Asri was beyond better than any villa or hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s located in the heart of Seminyak, just walking distance from some of Bali’s best bars and restaurants, as well as the beautiful beach. Being so central it meant we could visit some of my favourite food spots, one of them being Kynd Cafe. For all you plant based babes out there, be sure to check it out next time you’re in Bali.

To get to the villa, you take a drive down a long side street covered with tropical lush plants and trees. It’s incredible how the roads of Seminyak can be so crazily busy and noisy, but then as soon as you step away from them, and down onto the side lane of the beautiful villa, everything fades away and you can just hear the birds or just pure silence. At the end of the drive, you pull up to a tall fence, watching as the gates opens, you get that excitement as you know you’ve made it to your destination,. Behind the gates lies a luxurious villa, well they call it a villa, I would call it more of a mansion.

Walking into the villa we had no idea what to expect, I hadn’t seen any photos prior to our visit, and I can tell you now, we were blown away with what we saw. Behind the big double doors lies the most stunning, luxurious and well thought out colonial style villa. I kid you not, as we walked into the Villa, the first thing that went through my head was WOW, this is definitely somewhere where the Kardasians would stay ha ha! This gives you an indication of just how amazing it is and no words will ever do it justice.

The Villa is equipped with 6 beautifully designed bedrooms each with their own ensuite and an amazing terrace or balcony. I personally chose one of the bedrooms overlooking the pool with a garden and an outdoor bathroom. In the centre of the villa is a large crystal blue pool bordered with palm trees, potted plants and sunbeds, it is definitely where I spent majority of my stay.

During your stay at the villa, you’re provided with friendly staff who are there to look after you and your guests and make your stay as special as possible. With 24 hour service, you really don’t need to spend much time outside of the villa because everything is catered for within the villa and the staff are so attentive. We had a marvellous breakfast every morning, an epic vegan Indonesian style dinner on one of our evenings and a wide selection of refreshing drinks throughout our stay, from soft drinks to an extensive wine and cocktail menu to enjoy.

The villa is made for chilling, every day we woke up and spent time by the pool, watched films in the media room and did mini workouts in the garden or the self contained gym! It is the perfect space, setting and location for a big group of your extended family or a group of friends. A space to spend time relaxing, unwinding, partying and enjoying a luxurious holiday with all the amenities you would expect when staying in a hotel, with the bonus of having the entire place to yourself, whilst being waited on by the wonderful staff provided. It is your own little private paradise located in the heart of Bali and by the time your holiday comes to an end you will already be planning your next trip to return.

I am already trying to think of an excuse to bring myself and a heap of friends back to this villa. I’m thinking maybe my 30th Birthday?

If you guys have any questions for me about the Villa or Bali or if you have any recommendations for my next trip to Bali please leave a comment below and I will be sure to respond :)

Finally, you will most likely want to spend majority of your stay within the Villa however if you have the time, I would highly recommend strolling down to Seminyak’s beach to catch the sunset one evening over a cocktail.
