My Top 4 Coffee Spots In Sydney
Life here in Australia pretty much revolves around a good cup of coffee and a scrumptious brunch. With there being a coffee shop on every street corner and endless options available for Sydneysiders, one can be hard pressed to find the hot spots. If you follow me, you will know that I am a big coffee drinker and not to mention a big coffee snob. So much so, that if I can’t find a good coffee, then I’d rather go without.
Having visited my fair share of coffee spots, I think I have perfected my top 4 places in Sydney to order an awesome quick fix. So, if you’re a total coffee nerd or a coffee snob like me, here are 4 coffee spots that I would highly recommend you try.
This little gem is located on Darling Street in Rozelle. Having spent a lot of time here, I love the atmosphere and community that it has to offer. I have tried every coffee shop in the suburb and this one is far and above anything else on offer. Even on a winters morning, you will find a crowd of people waiting for their takeaway coffee or waiting to be seated. The staff are always welcoming, the baristas are some of the best I’ve come across and the cafe itself is warm and cosy. If you’re looking for a good spot to sit for hours catching up with friends over amazing coffee and delicious food, then Piccalo’s is your place. My favourites are the Yogi Berry Bowl alongside an almond flat white.
The Bay Bakehouse, Maroubra Beach
Nestled in my hometown of Maroubra beach, a cafe that is loved by the locals and serves some of the best coffee around. With them being close to the promenade, it is the perfect spot to grab an early morning takeaway coffee before taking your morning stroll. The atmosphere here is really friendly and every customer is known by name. They have my favourite (Milk Lab) almond milk and also do a great smashed avo on toast.
If you’re in redfern or close by, Bean Haus cafe is the place to visit. It can be hard to spot as it is inside a 19th century warehouse, but as soon as you walk past you will the hear the laughter and chatter from the locals who are either dining in or waiting for their daily takeaway coffee. I don’t only love this spot because of the coffee but because of the stylish interior, the friendly staff and the simple but delicious menu.
With Bondi being the heart of good brunch and coffee spots, you could spend weeks, maybe even months, making your way round them all. COFFEE Bondi Beach is located up on Curlewis Street and is the perfect place for all you coffee lovers. They’re a roastery who sell coffee and pretty much only coffee. The part I love most is that they don’t offer cows milk as an option, instead they use the most amazing almond and macadamia blend, and that itself is worth trying. Before heading here, note that they do only have a limited amount of seating (3 seats on a window ledge), so it is more suited for those looking to grab a takeaway coffee.
I’d love to know where your favourite coffee spots are!
