The Clean Treats Factory

Tucked away in Alexandria, Sydney; so just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD but still easy enough to get to. This little (actually fairly big) gem is one of my favourite places to eat in Sydney, that serves up some of the best plant based food around. It can definitely be challenging to find cafes that are plant based & cater to dietary requirements, but even more challenging to find cafes that do it well. I am slowly working my way through them all but admittedly going forward I will be somewhat biased as other cafe with a resemblance will now be compared to this astounding cafe that is TCTF.

The Clean Treats Factory was started by an amazing and beautiful lady called Charlie de Haas, who is incredible and pushing the boundaries for plant based food here in Sydney, she keeps it real, with real treats made by real people to change how you feel on the inside and out. Everything from the treats to the breakfast and lunch menu is free from gluten, dairy, refined sugar and nasty preservatives. Guilt free, regret free but definitely not fun free .

Its a cafe made for those foodie lovers and is a favourite with instagrammers. All the food that is served is as beautiful as the cafe space itself, I promise you, you’ll want to join every other girl in there with taking some snaps for your insta; they even have a mirror perfect for those selfies. The food is colourful and the interior design has a minimalist approach being monochrome throughout which makes those colourful dishes stand out even more.

Only being open Monday - Sunday means the popularity on a Saturday can be slightly over whelming, so if you’re looking for a more relaxed breakfast or lunch be sure to get in early or visit on a weekday.

My go to orders:

Breakfast - The spiced apple and cinnamon porridge for a chillier morning or the Choc Peanut Butter Protein Pancakes for more of a treat.

Lunch - My absolute favourites are The Veggie Patch or the Wellness bowl, either way both are filling and delicious.

Takeaway - Firstly, be sure to get yourself a takeaway coffee because the coffee cup ‘F#*K yeah coffee’ is definitely one of those instagram worthy parts that I mentioned. The lattes are to die for and the caramel slice will leave you wanting to come back for more.

If you haven’t already been and checked out the cafe, be sure to as if you haven’t noticed already, in my opinion it is AMAZING.
