5 Of The Best Vegan Dinner Spots In Sydney

Sydney is definitely not short of some seriously delicious restaurants and that goes for it having some amazing vegan and vegetarian hot spots. Everyone knows I love myself some wholesome, hearty and high quality plant based dishes and I always love finding new places. So here they are, my current 5 best vegan dinner spots in Sydney:

Gigi’s Pizza - Newtown

A vegan pizza restaurant? Yes you read that right, a 100% plant based vegan pizzeria, which means yes us vegans don’t have to give up our love of pizza, YAY! Situated in Newtown, this pizzeria serves up some of the best wood fired pizzas around.

You’ll spot the restaurant by the queue of families, couples and friends hoping to get a table, the place is usually full come 6:30pm on a weeknight, so be sure to turn up early to avoid the wait. As for the food; Im a big fan of the Ripleno Zucca e Spinaci Pizza.

Bodhi - Hyde Park

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Bodhi is tucked away under St Mary’s Cathedral, its the perfect place to enjoy great food whether you’re vegan or not. Specialising in vegan Yum Cha and Pan Asian cuisine, the food is deliscious and the wine list complements their cuisine. The menu is complete with imitation meat, that leaves trying to spot the difference between the dishes here and the real (meaty) thing. Be sure to sit outside under the fairy lights, making the most of amazing vibes this restaurant has.

Yellow - Potts Point

This spot is a winner, it’s Sydney’s go to for a fine dining vegetarian experience. Take your pick from multiple menu’s including the A la carte menu, the 5 or 7 course vegetarian or vegan tasting menu’s that you can add on to include matching wines or if you don’t fancy dining in the evening, head their for the delicious weekend brunch. The experience will leave you wanting to come back for more. For me, the vegan 7 course tasting menu is always a winner.

Givinda’s Restaurant & Movie Room - Darlinghurst

This gem is nestled just a short walk from kings cross station and serves up a delicious international vegetarian buffet with plenty of vegan options. You can enjoy the food and then head into the movie room for a boutique cinema experience, where you can lay back and enjoy a movie. The perfect place for a date night or a family evening out, what more is there to love, you can make multiple trips up to the buffest table and then lay back, chill and let all that food go down whilst enjoying the movie. My favourite? The Indian Dahl, it’s a must try.

Yulli’s - Surry Hills

My go to restaurant for a night with the girls or those double date nights. Located on crown street in Surry Hills, this vegetarian restaurant is quirky, busy and a must try if you’re near by. They have a 100% Vegan menu, as well as their Vegetarian and Gluten free menu’s, so theres plenty of choices for everyone. My Favourite? The mini Vietnamese pancake or the baked tandoori cauliflower with avocado and tahini cream. You’ll find that by the time you have finished your first dish, you’ll already be making plans to return.

So here are my top 5 vegan dinner spots in Sydney (right now), but id love to know if you guys have any other delicious spots that you’d recommend me giving a try. Leave your recommendations and what your favourite dishes are from these places in the comments below!
