Favourite Makeup & Skincare Products
Needing some inspo for cruelty-free makeup and skincare products? I recently shared my 5 Favourite Makeup Brands with you, but there are a whole heap of other brands out there that I love to use on a daily basis! I don’t tend to use really high-end brands, as most of them still test on animals, however it is now so easy to get cruelty-free, high quality products to use on your skin. It’s just about trying out products and seeing what works for you. Don’t forget that all our skin types are different, so take the time to figure out which makeup and skin care items suit you best and don’t irritate your skin. I also find it beneficial to rotate the products I use every six months or so.
I have pulled together a list of some of my favourites…..
Makeup
Favourite foundation? URBAN DECAY Weightless Foundation
Favourite makeup primer? MECCA Soothing Primer
Favourite concealer? MECCA Light Proof Concealer
Favourite eyeliner? I don’t use eyeliner often, but when I do I reach straight for the KAT VON D liquid eyeliner - it's amazing!
Favourite mascara? W3ll PEOPLE Mascara OR Better Than Sex by TOO FACED
Favourite lipstick? KAT VON D Long Stay Matte Lippy
Favourite lip balm? LUSH Ultrabalm (ugh, I just love ALL LUSH products)
Skincare
Favourite serum? AMPERNA Probiotic Smoothing Serum
Favourite day cream? DR ROEBUCKS No Worries Face Moisturiser
Favourite face oil? I use YOUNG LIVING essential oils and create my own blend using Frankincense and Lavender. We are always putting products on our body and this natural potion heals and supports my skin so well.
Favourite sunscreen? P40 sun screen and after sun lotion
Favourite eye cream? Again, my go to is YOUNG LIVING essential oils –this time I would reach for Copaiba oil, it’s an epic remedy for puffy/ irritated eyes.
Favourite body cream? LUSH Dream Cream, or LUSH Sleepy if I'm heading to bed.
Favourite fake tan? Eco Tan. Faking it, not baking it is another passion of mine. If you want to hear about my stance, check out my article.
Favourite fragrance? I use YOUNG LIVING essential oils as a perfume – it’s an easy one to swap out, and conventional perfumes are full of endocrine blocking chemicals! My favourite oils for perfume are vetiver and copaiba.
Favourite hair product? Bondi Boost
