9 Of The Best Weekend Trips To Take Around Sydney
No matter how many times you go to the Blue Mountains, there is always something to do. I personally love to do a self guided tour rather than a group tour and it is totally doable. Let’s face it, some tours can be pretty expensive. Whether you want to do this as a day trip or a weekend getaway, you’ll find yourself surrounded by beautiful nature with some breathtaking scenery, waterfalls and hikes. Personally I love going here in the winter, its a little chilly at times but its a lot less busy and when hiking, i’d rather be a little colder than melting in the Sydney summer heat. Things to do:
Go on the Scenic Cableway
Check out the views from the Scenic Skyway, with 360 degree views of Katoomba Falls, The Three Sisters and Jamison Valley.
Have a cocktail in the Sublime lounge, where you can warm up in front of the wood fire.
Do the Wentworth Falls lookout track.
Head into the quaint village of Leura
If this is your kinda thing, go cave diving in the Jenolan Caves (You get guides who take you out to do it, don’t worry you don’t go doing it alone)
This is home to some of the most idyllic beaches around and a must see if you’re visiting Sydney. With the most beautiful white sandy beaches, breathtaking views and even some dolphin and whale watching tours, there’s something for everyone. Things to do:
