HOME MADE SUSHI! 🍣⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ There are so many reasons as to why we should all have #seaweed in our diets.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ * Seaweed is much more nutrient dense than any land vegetables. It is an excellent source of micronutrients including folate, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, and selenium. More importantly, seaweed is a great source of iodine.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ * Unlike land plants, seaweed contains preformed omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, so seaweed or algae oil can be a reliable source of omega-3 for vegetarians.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ * Beans can cause gas and stomach upset for many people. This can be easily fixed by adding kombu, a particular kind of seaweed, to the beans when cooking.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ * Seaweed contains many antioxidants. As part of a healthy diet, seaweed can help protect against oxidative stresses and prevent chronic diseases such as cancer and digestive problems.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ * All plants contain fibre, but seaweed also has other odd types of carbohydrates that we lack the digestive enzymes to digest. These include carrageenan, fucan, galactan, and many more. Did you know that sugars are in fact a form of carbohydrates? Cows are friends *not* food. Did you know they each have unique personalities? ⠀ ⠀ Some are very quick learners, are bold, adventurous and very social. Whilst others can be a little slower, shy, timid and less social. Cows are known to mourn the deaths of those they love and grieve separation, especially a mother and her calf. Who else is always on the lookout for a good vegan restaurant? It can definitely be challenging to find restaurants and cafes that are plant based and cater for individual dietary requirements, but it is even more challenging to find ones that do it well. ⠀ ⠀ We’re now welcoming more and more vegan cafes and spaces onto the scene, especially here in Sydney. Lets talk a little bit about cosmetic augmentation and plastic surgery....⠀ ⠀ A question I get asked a lot is what treatments and I work I currently get done. As you may or may not know, I get two things done. Botox and Lip filler. In regards to the botox that I have had, I get just enough to stop the frown line in my forehead from getting any deeper. You know that little (annoying) line that comes up in between your eye brows when you see your boyfriend stealing your food haha, yep that one! In regards to the lip filler, I get this done every 6-9 months and get between 0.5-1ML each time. ⠀ ⠀ Don’t get me wrong, I BLOODY LOVE my face and whenever I have had anything done it has always been about enhancing my natural beauty and the elements on my face that I already love. The nurse I work with is bloody awesome, and always errs on the side of caution with my face, as we both agree it’s much better to have subtle, small, natural looking changes, than anything drastic and fake looking. Love you @bryson_cosmetic_medicine ✨ ⠀ 12 months ago I would never have spoken about this on social media but lately I feel the need to be 100% open with you all about it because of the way in which these procedures have become SO common and I don’t necessarily agree with the way that a lot of influencers talk about the issue online. ⠀ ⠀ More and more I am seeing young women (and when I say young I mean 18-19 year olds) posting about how they have had X, Y and Z done to their face and bodies and I feel like influencers and social media have had a part to play in encouraging this behaviour, and the obsession to look ‘perfect’. I see social influencers talking about their experiences, what they have had done themselves, tagging their surgeons, doing promos and giveaways for their doctors/nurses, and doing FULL ON youtube videos about their boob jobs etc. Eeeek! ⠀ ⠀ Caption continued in comments.......
